AI search visibility: be the business Google's AI names.

More and more of your customers get their answer from Google before they ever reach a list of websites. An AI Overview at the top of the page, or a conversation in AI Mode, and the search is finished. We structure your business so that when Google writes that answer, yours is one of the names in it.

This page is written for the owner, not for an SEO department. Agencies resell this same work under their own brand, with our team doing it: see the partner model.

Search did not go away. The answer moved to the top.

People still open Google. What comes back has changed. The answer is written out above the results, with a few names inside it and links out to a handful of sources. There is no page two in that moment and no scrolling. If your business is not one of the names, you are invisible there, no matter how good you are.

Google answers with AI in two places, and they behave differently.

Both are Google, both are built on the same Search index, and both reward the same underlying work. But what a customer is doing in each one is not the same, so the pages that win them are not quite the same either.

AI Overviews

Live in Google since May 2024

The summary Google writes at the top of the results page, with links out to the pages it drew from. Google is not quoting one website word for word; it is writing its own answer out of several sources it trusts. So the job is not to own a keyword. The job is to be one of the businesses Google is confident enough to put in the answer, and to have a page it can lean on while it writes.

  • Pages that answer the whole question, not half of it
  • Facts that match your profile, your listings and your reviews
  • A page for each service you actually want to be named for

AI Mode

Live in Google since March 2025

A tab where the search turns into a conversation. Someone asks something broad, reads the answer, then narrows it: what does that cost, can you do it this week, do you cover my town. One session can work through five questions before anybody is called. AI Mode optimization is making sure your business still stands up at question four, when the asking has got specific and vague marketing copy has nothing left to give.

  • Price ranges, timelines and service areas written down in public
  • The follow-up questions answered on the page, not hidden behind a call
  • What you do not do, said plainly, so the wrong jobs filter themselves out

Two neighbors worth keeping straight: when Google lifts a sentence off one page and shows it as a snippet or a People Also Ask answer, that is answer engine optimization. When the question is asked inside ChatGPT or Perplexity rather than Google, that is generative engine optimization.

What we fix before Google will put your name in an answer.

Google's AI answers run on the same index as ordinary search, so there is no separate AI switch to flip. Every time Google names a business it takes a small risk, and the work is making yours the low-risk pick: the same facts everywhere Google looks, reviews that back up the claim, and pages that say plainly what you do and where.

The same facts in every place

Name, address, hours, services and service area, checked across your website, your Google Business Profile and the main listings, then corrected until they match word for word. A mismatch gives Google a reason to name a business it is surer of.

Reviews that name the job

"Replaced our water heater in Norman" tells Google more than another "great service". We time the review request to the finished job and word it so customers describe the work and the town.

A page for each answer

One page per service you want to be named for, carrying the price range, the timeline, the area and the usual follow-up questions, with ordinary structured data so Google knows what each page covers.

A profile with nothing left blank

Categories, services, attributes, holiday hours and photos of your own jobs. Local AI answers usually sit beside the map results, and those come straight from your Business Profile.

Write it so a machine can repeat it without getting it wrong.

This is the part of the work that lands on your website. None of it is written for a machine at the expense of a human being. A page a busy customer can skim and trust is the same page Google can summarize safely, which is the whole trick.

  1. Answer in the first two sentences

If the page takes four paragraphs of throat clearing to get to the point, the answer that gets summarized comes from a competitor who got there first. Ask the question in the heading the way a customer would say it, then answer it immediately. The background can follow.

  2. Put the checkable facts in writing

Service area by town, hours, what a typical job costs, how long it takes, what is included and what is not. A summary is a risk for Google every time it names a business, and the businesses that are easy to verify are the low risk ones. Vague copy is not neutral here, it is a reason to pick somebody else.

  3. One page per job, finished properly

Eight pages that completely cover the eight things you get paid for beat forty pages that skim. A finished page carries the question, the answer, the cost, the timeline, the common objection and the next step, so a follow-up question in AI Mode still has somewhere to land.

  4. Say the things only you can say

Generic advice is already in the model. It has no reason to cite you for it. What it cannot get anywhere else is your work: the job you did on that street, what the old pipe turned out to be, what the permit took in your county. That is the material that earns a mention, and it is the one thing a competitor cannot generate.

  5. Keep it true, month after month

A page that contradicts your Google Business Profile, or quotes a price you stopped charging last year, is a page Google has a reason to skip. We keep the facts on your site, your profile and your listings saying the same thing, which is also the work that holds up your local rankings.

We will not invent a report that does not exist.

Google reports AI Overview clicks and impressions inside your normal Search performance data rather than as a surface of its own. That means nobody, including us, can hand you a clean number for how much of your traffic came out of an AI answer. Anyone showing you a precise percentage is showing you an estimate wearing a suit. Here is what we actually do instead.

Search Console, read carefully

Impressions, clicks and position by query and by page, watched for the shapes that matter: impressions holding while clicks fall, or a page that suddenly starts being seen for questions instead of keywords.

The questions, asked on a schedule

We keep a list of the questions your customers actually ask, run them in AI Overviews and AI Mode on a fixed schedule, and record what Google says and which businesses it names. It is manual, and it is the only honest read there is.

What the visit did next

Calls and form submissions tied back to the pages that produced them. A visitor arriving already informed behaves differently, and that shows up in what they do on the page long before it shows up in a traffic chart.

One plain note a month

What we did, what moved, what did not, and what we are doing about it, on one page. If a number is flat, you hear it from us before you notice it yourself.

Most of the AI work is local SEO work.

The clean listings, the steady review flow and the complete profile that win the map pack are the same inputs Google's AI leans on when it answers a local question. So we run them as one plan with one monthly note, rather than billing you twice for the same listings cleanup.

See how our local SEO works

The Google half of a five part job.

We split this work by where the answer actually happens. SEO is the foundation under all of it, the technical, on page and authority work that gets your pages found at all, and the page that explains the whole model. This page owns Google's own AI answers, the ones it writes itself in AI Overviews and AI Mode. When Google quotes a single page word for word in a snippet or a People Also Ask box, that is answer engine optimization. When the question is asked in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini or Claude instead of Google, that is generative engine optimization. And what happens after somebody clicks, whether the page earns the call, is search experience optimization.

They share a foundation on purpose. A business whose facts are straight and whose pages finish the subject tends to do better on all five at once, so we rarely sell this one on its own.

When an agency is the one selling it

AI visibility is being sold hard right now, and the fulfillment behind a lot of it is thin. The agencies that work with us hand that fulfillment to our team: the audit, the page rewrites, the profile and listing alignment and the monthly question checks, with the report going out under the agency's name. Each partner hears what is achievable for a client before anything is promised. See the partner model.

Search work since 2015, now aimed at the answer Google writes.

We have worked on how Google finds and trusts local businesses since 2015, and in that time more than 4,700 businesses have come to us for one service or another. AI Overviews and AI Mode run on the same Search index as the ten blue links, so this is work we already know, with a new place for the result to appear.

What owners ask us about AI search.

What is an AI Overview, in plain English?

It is the block of writing Google puts at the top of the results page instead of making you read the links. Google wrote those words itself, using pages it found and trusted, and it names a few sources beside the answer. Google started showing them in May 2024 and they now turn up on a lot of the questions customers ask before they call anyone.

Is AI Mode different from a normal Google search?

Yes. AI Mode, which Google opened up in March 2025, turns the search into a back and forth. Someone asks a broad question, reads the answer, then asks a narrower one, then a third. A single session can work through five questions before a name is chosen. That rewards businesses whose facts hold up across all five, not the one that won a single keyword.

Can you guarantee we show up in AI Overviews?

No, and neither can anyone else. Google writes the answer fresh, it varies by person and place, and it changes week to week. What we can do is make your business the easiest one in your market for Google to use: clear pages, facts that match everywhere they appear, reviews that back up the claim, and a profile that is current. That is what the sources it picks have in common.

Do we need special code, or one of those llms.txt files?

No. Google has been clear that its AI features run on the same Search index as everything else, and that files like llms.txt, chopping content into chunks, or rewriting pages for a machine are not requirements. We add ordinary structured data because it helps Google understand what a page is about, and we spend the real effort on the pages themselves.

How do we know whether AI search is sending us anything?

Honestly, and without a fake dashboard. Google folds AI Overview clicks and impressions into the normal Search performance data in Search Console rather than breaking them out on their own, so nobody can hand you a clean number for AI traffic. We watch the patterns that do show up, run your real customer questions on a schedule and record what Google answers, and tie calls and form fills back to the pages that earned them.

What about ChatGPT, Perplexity and the others?

Different place, related work. This page is about Google's own AI answers. When the question is asked inside an assistant that is not Google, that is generative engine optimization. And when Google quotes one page word for word in a snippet or a People Also Ask box, that is answer engine optimization.
