Is LawRank the right SEO agency for your firm?

LawRank markets law firms only. What it does well, and the three things that decide whether a small firm's search traffic turns into signed cases.

A three-lawyer family and criminal practice that has never paid for marketing usually hears one piece of advice first: hire an agency that only works with lawyers. LawRank is one of the names that comes up. Its homepage headline, read on October 31, 2026, is “Law Firm Marketing That Wins You Cases”, and the services it lists are SEO, PPC, attorney web design and what it calls AI optimization, plus social media and demand generation.

This post is for the small firm deciding whether a legal-only SEO agency should be its first marketing hire. Everything we say about LawRank comes from its own pages as of that date, and we leave out prices, ours and theirs.

The 60-second version

  • LawRank works only with law firms, has attorneys and JDs developing its SEO content, and offers Spanish-language SEO and market exclusivity. Those are real advantages.
  • Rankings bring the phone call. Whether that call becomes a signed case depends on who answers it, how fast a form gets a reply, and what happens at 9 p.m.
  • LawRank's own PPC page says the firm needs someone ready to answer ad calls as they come in. Before you sign with anyone, know who that person is.
  • Ask whose name the domain, the Business Profile, the ad account and every tracking number will sit in. LawRank says in writing that the firm owns its WordPress site.

What LawRank sells, in its own words

LawRank is a marketing agency for attorneys and nothing else. Its contact form asks which practice you run, with personal injury, criminal defense, family law, workers’ compensation and employment as the listed choices, and how much revenue the firm brings in.

The service menu is search-led. Its SEO page describes link building, on-site work, local SEO with management of the firm’s Google profile included in every package, and content “written and/or developed by attorneys and JDs” through an eight-step accuracy process. Its PPC page describes Google Ads run by a certified Google Partner, CallRail call tracking, an A/B tested landing page and a real-time AgencyAnalytics dashboard, and it notes that the firm pays Google directly for clicks.

Its AI optimization page covers getting a firm named when someone asks ChatGPT or Gemini for a lawyer. LawRank sells that only to firms on an active SEO engagement with it, and reports a monthly mention rate across AI platforms.

LawRank pages quoted in this post: homepage, SEO for attorneys, PPC for lawyers, AI optimization and attorney web design.

A specialist has already written about statutes of limitation, custody standards and DUI penalties many times over, and in legal content a wrong sentence about a deadline does more harm than a thin one.

LawRank adds three specifics a small firm should weigh. The SEO page answers “Do you offer exclusivity?” with “Yes, we offer semi-exclusivity and exclusivity,” so you can ask not to share your agency with the firm across the street. The same page says both co-founders and 80% of its staff speak Spanish, and Spanish AI optimization is offered too. And its web design page puts ownership plainly: “All of our sites are on WordPress and you own it!”

Marketing a firm in Spanish carries its own bar question. If your site or ads invite Spanish-speaking clients, someone at the firm has to be able to serve them in Spanish.

What decides whether SEO turns into signed cases

An SEO agency’s work ends when the phone rings or the form is sent. The case is won or lost in the next hour, and at most small firms nobody owns that hour.

Speed to answer

LawRank is candid about this. Its PPC page asks, “Is someone on your team able to answer the calls that are generated through PPC?” and warns that a caller who reaches voicemail has likely moved on to the next lawyer by the time you call back. It adds that campaigns work best when someone can meet the prospective client within 48 hours.

That advice is just as true for organic calls. A person searching “divorce lawyer near me” at 7:40 on a Tuesday evening calls three firms in a row. Ring your own main line after closing tonight and listen to what that person hears.

Intake follow-up

Web forms arrive at 11 p.m. and on Sundays. Who reads them, how fast the reply goes out, and what it says decide whether the lead is still yours on Monday. Ask any agency, LawRank included, whether a reply goes out automatically, who writes it, and where the conversation is stored.

A fast reply is still a communication about the firm’s services. California’s Rule 7.1, comment 1, applies to any message sent by or on behalf of a lawyer about the firm’s availability, and Rule 7.3, comment 1, says a response to someone’s request for information is not a solicitation. Rules differ by state, so treat this as background, not legal advice, and confirm with counsel before an automated reply goes live.

Who holds the keys

LawRank answers part of this in writing: the firm owns its WordPress site, and the firm pays Google directly for ad clicks. Two pieces its pages leave open are worth asking about. The SEO page says LawRank manages the firm’s Google profile, so ask that the firm stay the primary owner. And ask whose account the CallRail tracking numbers live in, since those numbers end up printed on your profile and ads.

LawRank and Beyaoshy, row by row

The LawRank column comes from its own pages as of October 31, 2026. The Beyaoshy column holds only what we can show in writing.

Strengths and trade-offs

LawRank

  • Pro: legal-only, with attorneys and JDs developing the SEO content.
  • Pro: Spanish-language SEO and AI optimization from a largely Spanish-speaking staff.
  • Pro: exclusivity offered, so a competitor nearby is not on the same roster.
  • Pro: the firm owns its WordPress site and is billed by Google for clicks.
  • Con: answering calls and working the intake queue are left to the firm.
  • Con: AI optimization is only sold alongside its SEO work, and the SEO page marks site design as not included.
  • Con: ownership of the Google profile and tracking numbers is not spelled out on the pages we read.

Beyaoshy

  • Pro: the same team runs search, ads, the Business Profile, the site and the CRM, with no part of it subcontracted.
  • Pro: after-hours answering and lead follow-up can sit with the same team that brings in the calls.
  • Con: we are not a legal-only agency, so your lawyers should expect to review every practice page before it goes up.
  • Con: Spanish-language marketing is not something we advertise, so a firm whose clients mostly speak Spanish should ask us directly and weigh LawRank’s depth there.

When LawRank is the right first hire

  • A firm whose phones are already covered. If a receptionist or answering service picks up into the evening and someone reads forms over the weekend, a search specialist adds calls to a system that can handle them.
  • A firm that serves Spanish-speaking clients, with a lawyer or staff member who can carry the consult in Spanish.
  • A firm in a crowded metro that wants a contract keeping its agency away from direct competitors. Get the exclusivity terms in writing.

It is a weaker first hire for a solo lawyer who spends the day in court with calls going to voicemail. More rankings there mean more missed calls, and the fix is answering and follow-up before more traffic.

We built our work around that gap. One team runs the SEO, the Google Business Profile, the site and the ads, and the same team can set up an AI receptionist for the hours nobody is at the desk, plus a text reply that goes to each new web lead. Every account is opened in the firm’s name, so the firm keeps all of it if we part ways.
