Is CI Web Group right for your trade business?

CI Web Group builds Hydra OS sites and SEO for HVAC, plumbing and electrical shops. Where it is strong, what you keep if you leave, and who it fits.

The first cold snap of the year is when an HVAC owner finds out what the website is worth. The furnace calls come in at 6 a.m., the homeowner wants a price before anyone drives out, and a site that says “call for pricing” loses the job to the one that showed a range. That is exactly the problem CI Web Group sells against, which is why its name keeps landing in front of heating, plumbing and electrical contractors.

We read CI Web Group’s homepage, its HVAC page, its comparison page and its terms of service on October 31, 2026, and everything said about the company below comes from those pages. We leave its prices out, as we do with everyone’s, our own included.

The 60-second version

  • CI Web Group builds fast websites on its own platform, Hydra OS, plus SEO, AEO, GEO and local marketing for trades and home service brands.
  • Its standouts are interactive site tools from a component store, such as an instant quote estimator and a repair-or-replace calculator, and prices you can see before a call.
  • It says plainly that your content and front-end design files are yours, and that the Hydra OS brain stays with the company. Find out what that split means for your tools before you sign.
  • Its own comparison page says it manages no paid advertising, so the ads need a second vendor or your own office.

What decides whether CI Web Group fits a trade business

Two questions decide it. Do you want the website itself to be the main engine for calls, and are you comfortable with that website running on a platform one company owns? If both answers are yes, CI Web Group was built for you. If your calls come mostly from paid ads, or you want to be able to pick the whole working site up and move it anywhere, read the ownership section closely.

CI Web Group in its own words

The homepage says CI Web Group “builds Hydra OS digital marketing, AI-enabled websites, web design, SEO, AEO, GEO, and local marketing systems for trades and professional services.” The terms describe its services as provided “exclusively to the trades vertical,” naming HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing and garage doors.

Hydra OS is the company’s own platform. The homepage separates the two halves: the website your customers see, built in Astro as a static site, and Hydra OS, “the intelligence that builds, optimizes, and runs it.” It describes most of the ongoing work as done by AI agents directed by people, under the line “80% AI. 20% experts.”

On top of the platform sits a component store of add-ons for your site. The homepage features an instant quote estimator that returns a price range with a financing preview, and a repair-or-replace decision tool that asks four questions and shows the math. Service runs on two tracks, a done-with-you consulting plan built around strategy calls and Slack, and a done-for-you plan in which its agents connect to your field service software, accounting and CRM. Onboarding happens in a dedicated Slack channel that, per the homepage, opens the day you approve.

Where CI Web Group is strong

The trade focus is real and deep. An HVAC page that talks about heat waves tripling call volume overnight and homeowners comparing three quotes on a system replacement was written by people who know how the work sells. You do not have to explain a tune-up to them.

The tools are the second strength. A repair-or-replace calculator meets a homeowner at the exact moment they are deciding, and each component in the store is shown on a named client’s live site or staging build, so you can open a real one and click through it before you order.

It is also unusually open. Prices, plans and components are published before a strategy call, there is a public queue of staging builds you can open while they are being made, and the comparison page lists the buyers CI Web Group is the wrong fit for. Terms are month to month with 30 days’ notice.

The honest question: what a proprietary platform means if you leave

To its credit, CI Web Group answers part of this on its own homepage: “your content and front-end design files are yours to take anytime, with 30-day notice. The one thing that stays ours is the Hydra OS brain that powers it.” Its terms add detail. When service ends, “your license to use Platform IP ends,” and your content “is available for export for thirty (30) days post-termination, after which we may delete it.” Custom deliverables are licensed or assigned “as specified in the SOW,” and without specific assignment language CI Web Group “retains all Platform IP embedded in any deliverable.”

None of that is unusual for a software platform. It does leave four things to get in writing before you sign:

  • Do the tools come with you? If you order the quote estimator, ask whether the statement of work assigns it to you as working code, or whether it stops when the platform license ends.
  • Will the exported site run somewhere else? Ask what the front-end files include, whether the content database comes out in a usable format, and who hosts the site the day after you leave.
  • Whose name is on the Business Profile and the tracking numbers? The pages we read cover the domain and content, not who holds the profile’s ownership role or the call-tracking account.
  • When should you download? The export window is 30 days after termination, so pull a copy before you give notice, not after.

Pros and cons

CI Web Group

  • Pro: it works only in the trades, and its pages show it understands how heating, cooling and plumbing jobs are sold.
  • Pro: interactive tools you can see live on real contractor sites before you order one.
  • Pro: prices and plans published up front, month-to-month terms, and builds you can watch in progress.
  • Pro: technical SEO done at launch rather than spread across a retainer.
  • Con: the platform stays the company’s, so moving the working site and its tools elsewhere takes planning.
  • Con: no paid ads, so a contractor who relies on Google Ads or Local Services Ads needs a second vendor.
  • Con: reviewing AI-written drafts before they publish is your job under its terms, which takes time from the office.

Beyaoshy

  • Pro: the domain, site, profile, CRM and tracking numbers sit in your name from the start, and the ad accounts are yours.
  • Pro: one team handles the site, the profile, the ads, reviews and the CRM, with no subcontractors in the middle.
  • Pro: when a tool is needed, we build it for your business rather than picking from a catalog.
  • Con: there is no store of ready-made components to browse; you describe the problem and we scope it.
  • Con: we do not publish prices, so cost comes up in the first conversation.
  • Con: we work across many kinds of businesses, not only the trades, so ask us for examples from yours.

Who CI Web Group fits

  • An HVAC company whose calls come mostly from search and the map. If organic traffic already pays the bills and ads are handled in house, a faster site with a quote tool and a repair-or-replace calculator is a sensible next step.
  • A multi-trade shop that wants to see the price before the pitch. The published plans and the component store let you budget without a sales call.
  • An owner who likes working in Slack and has someone to approve drafts. The onboarding and the done-with-you plan are built around that rhythm.

It is a weaker fit for the electrician whose phone rings mainly from Google Ads, the plumber who wants one company accountable for the ads, the site and the follow-up, or any owner who has been burned by an agency before and wants every piece portable on day one.

Where Beyaoshy fits

We are the other route for trade owners who want everything in their own name and one team answerable for all of it. The domain, website, Business Profile, CRM and tracking numbers are set up under your business, the ad accounts are yours, and the same people run the site, the profile, the ads, the reviews and the follow-up. When a call comes in while the crew is on a roof or under a house, our AI receptionist can answer it, and the monthly report counts calls and booked jobs, not just visits.

Why trade owners who want everything portable pick us

  • Nothing is rented: your domain, site, profile, CRM, numbers and ad accounts are in your name from the first day.
  • One team covers the website, the profile, Google and Meta ads, reviews and the CRM, so no vendor can blame another.

  • 4,700+ businesses served since 2015, and the first consult is free, with an honest evaluation and a plan you keep either way.
